“Open During Construction” When I saw it, I was struck by how much the sign seemed to resonate with my life. That business looked like utter chaos and yet, changes for the better were happening. It was still open for business.

If you’ve ever cruised along on a major highway, then you are some measure of acquainted with traffic. Rush hour or otherwise. It can be frustrating for some who travel the road with a timeframe. I’ve experienced the unpredictability of those jams, as well. You can have smooth sailing one day and the next could be gridlocked.

We can easily anticipate potential variables of something going wrong because that’s what we tend to hold on to. This is also why we don’t require much time to come up with a whole list of reasons why that should prevent us from even trying! This is something that’s come to be referred to as Analysis Paralysis. A state of overthinking to the point that you can’t make a decision.

...Usually, she’s pretty on top of it and stands guard before the bowl waiting for the food to drop. She happened to be focused on me that day and when she heard the familiar sounds, she swiftly set in motion to run toward her bowl. But not being at her normal post sent her in a confused scramble...

Our spiritual self needs sustenance as well. If I truly want a cup that is not only full of what God supplies, but is overflowing, then I need to trust him to purge me of the things that don’t belong. There needs to be room to receive a full cup in order to experience the overflow that I don’t have room to receive.

The more “encounters” we have that challenge our faith, the more confident we become each time we overcome.

I’ve never been a fan of change for the sake of change. But what if that’s not it?

We get easily distracted, we're discombobulated, and everything else.

In many organizations, staff receive pay every two weeks. For some of my staff, that’s a long two weeks.

...it is in action form. So a blessing  is in process.

Wisdom isn’t always about knowing all the answers.

Sometimes we have to practice the art of loosening our grip on some things that we are determined to solve.

If we give up on whatever it is we are hoping in, then we easily drift into a place of despair and…hopelessness.

Those are the moments we face when we need our tribe the most because, often, those hard times can be very isolating.

There are times in life when we can become so consumed by the problem that it monopolizes our full attention.

In this day and age, we’ve been scammed and catfished so often, that we want hard evidence before we proceed with anything. A guarantee.

...because you want your faith in God to be far louder than that little voice of doubt that keeps wondering if it’s going to happen.

...although there is no quick fix to these daily struggles, the one thing we can be sure to cling to in perilous times is our faith.
